Account & Profile

  • Why should I create an account?
  • We will save your personal details on an account our system creates for you. You will then be able to re-use the details you have already entered and never need to re-enter information, allowing you to make future comparisons/purchase even faster. When you buy a policy on our platform, as your broker, we will also need your details to effect and manage your coverage with the insurer you have selected.

    To make sure no one else can access your data, we have secured it with a password and a SMS pin code that we will send you every time you log in (2FA).

  • What is 2FA?
  • 2FA stands for 2nd Factor Authentication, which is the use of something you carry as proof of identity. 2FA makes it much more difficult for an attacker to impersonate you and access your computer, accounts, or other resources.

  • Is my personal information secure?
  • We handle your personal data with care in accordance to PDPA guidelines. We also ensure compliance with all guidelines of MAS, the Singapore financial regulator, for insurance brokers.

  • How do I update/change my personal details?
    1. Log in to Insurancemarket.sg account
    2. Click on your name at the top right corner and select My Profile from the drop-down menu
    3. Under the Personal Details section select Edit
    4. Enter the relevant new details and changes, then click Save

    Please note that existing quotes will still contain the details from before, we recommend that you review your details if you plan to continue from Saved Progress.

  • How do I change my email address?
    1. Log in to your Insurancemarket.sg account
    2. Click on your name at the top right corner and select My Profile from the drop-down menu
    3. Under the Account Details section, select Change Email Address
    4. Follow the instructions there, then click Save
  • How do I change my password?
    1. Log in to your Insurancemarket.sg account
    2. Click on your name at the top right corner and select My Profile from the drop-down menu
    3. Under the Account Details section, select Change Password
    4. Follow the instructions there, then click Save

Quotation

  • What is a coverage score?
  • We have analysed all policies and reviewed all their terms and conditions. The coverage score is a weighted average of the terms and conditions of a policy. This makes it easier for you to compare the coverage and benefits of one policy with that of another to find one that is best suited to your needs.

  • What is value-for-money score?
  • Our value-for-money score (or value score) compares price with the protection that a policy provides (as expressed in the coverage score). 

  • Why is the value score always different?
  • Our value score is calculated dynamically based on the policies that fit your criteria. Periodically, we also make updates to the calculation based on our data to help you find the policy that is best suited to your needs.

  • How can I set specific coverage preferences?
  • When purchasing your insurance, when you have arrived at Compare page (Step 3 of 5), there will be a sidebar on the left for you to choose and indicate your preferences.

    You can sort the policies according to value score, coverage score, or price as well as select key coverages that you want in your policy.

  • How do I retrieve my saved quote/ progress?
    1. Log in to your Insurancemarket.sg account
    2. Click on your name at the top right corner and select My Quotes from the drop-down menu
    3. Here, you will be able to see and select your saved quotes and continue from where you left off
  • How long will my saved quote be valid?
  • If you have an account and it's logged in to Insurancemarket.sg, your saved quote(s) will remain valid for 2 weeks.

    If do not have an account with Insurancemarket.sg, your saved quote(s) will only be valid for 1 week.

Purchase, Payment & Claim

  • How and when will I receive my policy documents?
  • Your policy documents will be available for download from our website.

    Depending on the processing speed of the insurer, the policy documents should be made available in no longer than 2 working days.

  • How do I make claims?
  • To make a claim, we have related forms found under My Policies for you to fill in. Generally, insurers will require some supporting documentation or proof for the claim(s) to be processed.

    If you require any assistance, you can call our helpline. Alternatively, you can also call the insurance company helpline directly. You can find their necessary contact information in the policy documents in My Policies.

  • How do I terminate my policy?
  • At present, you are unable to terminate a policy online. If you do wish to cancel your policy please give our helpline a call. Our support staff will be happy to assist and guide you through the process.

  • How do I submit feedback?
  • You can email us at support@insurancemarket.sg or give us a call. Your feedback is valuable to us and we aim to respond to it within 1 working day.

  • How do I unsubscribe from your mailing list?
  • We like to stay in touch with you to remind you when your next renewal is due, and occasionally let you know about new services and features. If you no longer wish to be contacted by us, you can do so by following the instructions below.

    1. Log in to your Insurancemarket.sg account
    2. Click on your name at the top right corner and select My Profile from the drop-down menu
    3. Scroll down to Preferences section and click Edit
    4. Uncheck the box(es) of the respective notification(s) that you do not wish to receive from us
    5. Click Save, and you're done!
